The Gorrie Foundation was established to raise funds to address immediate and long term goals of Gorrie students and faculty, which can not be met utilizing the budget provided by the School Board of Hillsborough County. The Foundation supports numerous academic, enrichment, technology, after-school, and arts programs for Gorrie Elementary students.
Gorrie Elementary has offered the violin instruction program for the past 8 years. The Gorrie Foundation has provided the violins, musical supplies, and instructor's salary. We are requesting your help in the form of tax-deductible donations to make sure students can continue such an enriching program.
The MAGIC Program is a tutorial program funded by the Gorrie Foundation. There has been an increased need and desire for MAGIC tutorial services by Gorrie students and parents. The program has been an integral part of the significant increases in students' test scores in reading and math.
